Tailless Rats by Debbi J. Needham
2010 Repost. No animals available.
By Debbi J. Needham
Our first tailless were originally shipped from CA from rat breeder, Tina Sharoody, in November 2002.
Since then, we have acquired new rats from S. CA breeder Bonnie Walters. As well, we have added
color and marking by breeding in the
Australian Down Unders into our lines.

Breeding tailless rats involves some choices that are unique to the breed. Females cannot be bred. Less
than one tailless occurs  in every litter, which leaves the rest of the litter as tailless carriers.
These rats must be homed. So, breeding them is not for everyone.
Black Jack II, Black self, is from Tina Sharoody's
tailless lines in N. CA.
BW Louis is from CA tailless breeder, Bonnie
Walters. We aquired him at  at a RMHF show that I
judged in CA on 10-2-03. His offspring with
Bonita, right, went on to win BOS & BOS Reserve
Kitten at RatsPacNW Spring Show.
