2006 - Airline Shipping available throughout the United States

1) As of April 1st, 2006, Continental Airlines is shipping up to 9lbs of pets + carrier for $119 to major airports in the USA. They do
not require a health certificate for rats. This is my airline of choice, as I have never lost an animal shipping through them and we
have shipped many dozens of times. To use another airline, please inquire with them about their shipping prices and policies.

2) Rodents must be shipped in airline approved pet carriers.
We prefer shipment in plastic TACONIC filtered lab boxes with a separator for sexes.
We will sell you this container for $15.

3) I will only ship healthy rats over 6-weeks-old. However, due to situations outside my control, I cannot guarantee the animals
health condition when they arrive at their final destination. Rats do not require a health certificate on some airlines and thus will not
be insured on those airlines. But, I will take animals to a veterinary hospital for a health exam and health certificate, if you would
prefer, for $35. Most airlines will insure an animal that has a health certificate. All critters will be healthy at the time of shipment.
I will not ship any animal in questionable condition.

4) A $15 fee is charged for airport parking/mileage expense.

5) I request that the buyer contacts me via phone or email about the condition of the animals as soon as they get home.
This is for my peace of mind as each critter is special.

Your GRAND Shipping TOTAL:
$149 + cost of animals through Continental Airlines within the USA.
*Total shipment weight under 9lbs.

*If rats are shipped around 6-8 weeks-old, up to 8-10 youngsters fit in one box under 9 lbs.
Shipping weights over 9 lbs increase airline fee by $75, but two
TACONIC lab boxes can usually be sent out for the one fee.
** Rats cannot be shipped through the US Postal Service, UPS or any other mail service.
Ground transport (driving) and airline shipping are the methods used for transporting rats.
