NORTHWEST MUSIC SCENE - my blogs about live music in the NW!
I'm a writer, photographer, artist, musician & winner of Washington State Press Association gold medals. Over the years, I've written a couple of novels called
the
Adventures in Times young adult book series, and I've became an educator with summers off! I've combined my love of writing with my love of live music,
my family's forays into raising unique pets and animals.
The pics on this site were taken with a variety of cameras. Truly I use whatever camera I have at my
disposal. In my opinion, it's not the size or cost of the camera that matters - but the person rocking it! Have fun
, be creative, & stay positive!

My daughter, Kadi, is no stranger to organic gardening. Every spring she
helps us decide what to plant in our backyard garden and she plants her
favorite veggies in the planters in our front yard.

Over the years, we've grown some huge zucchinis and some odd
tomatoes, but nothing like this carrot she harvested! T
wo days after her
birthday,
she decided to check on her carrot patch while waiting for me to
drive her to the store to spend her birthday money.

She went to her carrot planter, checked around for her carrot's growth,
found one carrot large enough to pull, then another, and then finally
she pulled
up
another. They looked good and some were ready to harvest. Then she
pulled up thi
s unusual carrot. Ummm...I still don't know what to say!

Kadi was quite surprised to pull this carrot from her
personal carrot patch! You decide what it looks like!
